Pancake Recipe
One of my greatest pleasures when traveling in the United States is enjoying those fabulous breakfasts, and especially pancakes. I got this pancake recipe during my trip to New Jersey from an American woman, and I am sharing it because it is simple, quick, and delicious.
Ingredients for about ten pancakes
– 250 g flour
– 5 tsp baking powder
– 30 g granulated sugar.
– 1 pinch of salt
– 2 eggs
– 300 ml milk (I use almond milk)
– 60 g butter
– 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, and make a well in the center. Add the eggs (you can beat the egg whites until stiff for even fluffier pancakes) and mix everything together.
Melt the butter and incorporate it into your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and egg mixture. Then gradually add the milk. Mix well to avoid lumps.
Let the batter rest for between half an hour and one hour.
Then put a little butter in a hot pan and add a generous ladleful of batter. Let it cook for a few moments, then flip your pancake. Cook for a few more moments and place your pancake on a plate. It is ready!
You can enjoy pancakes with maple syrup, jam, chocolate, fruit… One thing is certain: you will love them!!
Enjoy your meal!
