Cake au thon léger

Today, here is a lighter recipe for the warmer season: a light tuna loaf. Tuna is one of those oily fish rich in Omega-3s, whose protective health benefits have been widely demonstrated. Besides being incredibly easy to make, this recipe is also excellent for your health!

Ingredients

– 1 large can of tuna in water or oil (about 400 g)

– 3 eggs

– 240 ml of milk (if you do not drink milk, you can replace it with spelt milk or even rice milk)

– 80 g breadcrumbs (crushed rusks)

– Salt, pepper

– Turmeric

Crumble the tuna into a mixing bowl, then add the eggs. Mix everything together while pouring in the milk of your choice. Then stir in the breadcrumbs. Finish with salt, pepper, and turmeric. You can also add basil, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, or anything else you like.

Pour the mixture into an unbuttered loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes at 175°C (350°F / gas mark 6). Let the tuna loaf cool, then remove it from the pan.

You can enjoy it warm or cold, and I recommend adding a few drops of lemon juice on top. Served with a salad, it makes an excellent summer dish! Enjoy your meal!
