Cape St. George Lighthouse

After collapsing during a storm in 2005, the Cape St. George Lighthouse was rebuilt in 2008 and reopened to the public. By climbing the 92 steps to the top, visitors are rewarded with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and the surrounding island.

The lighthouse is in the center of the island within a pleasant park area where visitors can walk and relax.

Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park

Located at the eastern end of the island, Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park is one of the most spectacular natural areas along Florida’s Forgotten Coast.

The park features nearly 9 miles of pristine white-sand beaches, completely undeveloped and surrounded by dunes and coastal vegetation. The clear waters of the Gulf and the peaceful atmosphere make it an exceptional place to enjoy nature.
