Nothing is better than homemade, especially when it comes to cookies! After several tries, I found a simple, quick, and honestly delicious recipe. I am sharing it with you today.

Ingredients for about ten large cookies:

– 1 medium egg

– 130 g very soft butter

– 200 g dark chocolate

– 180 g flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 100 g brown sugar

– 2 teaspoons liquid vanilla extract

 

Preparation

Using a wooden spoon, mix the softened butter with the sugars. Then add the beaten egg and the vanilla, then add the flour all at once (previously mixed with the baking powder). Finish with the chocolate chips.

You can find ready-made chocolate chips in many shops. But what I prefer are homemade chocolate chunks made from a chocolate bar that I break into large pieces!!

Once everything is mixed together, shape balls the size of a large walnut with your fingers without smoothing them. Put them in the freezer for a good half hour.


Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F / gas mark 6). Place the cookies on a sheet of baking paper, spacing them out so they do not stick together!

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes depending on whether you like your cookies crunchy or soft! In my case, it will be 12 minutes 😉 Once they are baked, let them rest for 5 minutes, then lift them off. You can enjoy them warm or cooled!

My husband and my son love homemade cookies with a nice glass of milk!

You can also add a personal touch to this recipe with spices (cinnamon, ginger…), dried fruit (raisins, apricots, dates…), white chocolate, milk chocolate, or even lots of candy!

Cookies keep for several days in an airtight container! Enjoy 😉
