Chocolate Chip Muffins with a Melting Center
Today, I am taking a little break from “expat life” and sharing with you a recipe I tested this week: chocolate chip muffins with a melting center! They are simple to make and delicious.
Ingredients
– 180 g self-raising flour
– 90 g sugar
– 1 egg
– 125 g melted butter
– 10 cl milk
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon liquid vanilla
– 60 g chocolate chips
– Nutella or chocolate (dark, milk, or white depending on your preference)
Preparation
Crack the egg into a mixing bowl and beat it with the lukewarm butter, milk, and salt. Then incorporate the flour and sugar, along with the liquid vanilla. Do not overwork the batter. Finish by adding and mixing in the chocolate chips.
Arrange the batter in muffin molds or paper liners this way: one tablespoon of batter, then one teaspoon of Nutella (or one square of chocolate), and cover with another tablespoon of batter.
Bake at 210°C for 5 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180°C and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
When they come out of the oven, let them cool. Then enjoy them at room temperature!
