Of course, there are others, but these are the ones we visit the most and know best. In the United States, people talk about \u201cmalls\u201d<\/strong>, but these places often go far beyond simple shopping.<\/p>

You should know that, unlike many French cities<\/strong>, many American cities do not have a structured downtown. Around where we live, Naples and Fort Myers have charming downtowns, but the surrounding cities often lack real urban centers. Malls therefore take on a central role in local life: boutiques, hair salons, nail salons, restaurants, caf\u00e9s, ice cream parlors, cinemas\u2026 everything is there to spend a pleasant moment and feel as though you are in a small town center.<\/p>
